The photographs should feel magical. Getting everyone dressed for them should not feel impossible. Here is how the right couture gown can simplify the planning and completely change the experience.

First, a note to Mom

You booked the photographer because you want to remember this version of her. You should not have to spend the week before the session worrying about whether the clothes will photograph well.

Photo sessions have a way of sounding simple when you first book them. Pick a date. Choose a photographer. Show up and smile.

Then the questions begin.

What should she wear? Does the dress work with the backdrop? Will it fit when the session date arrives? Does Mom need to coordinate? Should everyone match? Will the skirt have enough movement? Is the dress too plain? Too busy? Too formal?

Suddenly the keepsake you were excited about starts to feel like a project to manage.
