ShutterFest is an annual conference and expo focused on photography education and networking. Hosted by renowned photographer and educator, Sal Cincotta, ShutterFest brings together photographers of all levels, from beginners to seasoned professionals, for a multi-day event filled with workshops, seminars, live shoots, and networking opportunities.

The conference typically features a wide range of topics covering various aspects of photography, including portrait photography, wedding photography, commercial photography, lighting techniques, business strategies, and post-processing skills. Attendees have the chance to learn from industry experts, participate in hands-on workshops, and gain valuable insights to elevate their photography skills and business acumen.

One of the unique aspects of ShutterFest is its inclusive and collaborative atmosphere, where photographers from diverse backgrounds come together to share knowledge, exchange ideas, and inspire one another. Whether you're looking to improve your technical skills, expand your creative horizons, or grow your photography business, ShutterFest offers a supportive environment for learning and growth.

In addition to the educational sessions, ShutterFest also features a trade show floor where attendees can explore the latest photography equipment, products, and services from leading industry vendors. It's an excellent opportunity for photographers to discover new tools and resources to enhance their workflow and stay ahead of the curve in an ever-evolving industry.

Overall, ShutterFest is not just a conference; it's a community-driven event that celebrates the art and business of photography while fostering connections and camaraderie among photographers. Whether you're a hobbyist looking to sharpen your skills or a professional seeking inspiration and networking opportunities, ShutterFest offers something for everyone passionate about photography.

Shutterfest Demonstrations

When Lacy Clagg, a talented photographer, approached us for gowns for her demo at ShutterFest, we were delighted!

Lacy's love for photography began in 1999 when she embarked on a journey at IU, immersing herself in courses that not only honed her skills in marketing and business but also ignited her passion for capturing moments through the lens. Her dedication to continuous learning led her to explore various aspects of photography, from mastering the art of composition to refining her editing prowess in both traditional darkrooms and digital platforms like Lightroom and Photoshop.

Photography is more than just a hobby for Lacy; it's a lifelong passion that has shaped her journey since her college days. With a blend of artistic vision, technical expertise, and a heart for community, Lacy has forged a remarkable path in the world of photography. Lacy is based in Indianapolis, IN.

One thing we love about Lacy is her passion for photography extends to making a difference in her community. Her heart finds joy in capturing the innocence and wonder of small children and infants through her collaborations with non-profit organizations. Through her lens, she not only freezes moments in time but also tells stories of hope, resilience, and love.

When not focused on photography, Lacy finds downtime in simple pleasures like baking, crafting, and diving into the pages of a good book with a steaming cup of coffee by her side.
